Pages and the Local directory
Every Local presence starts from a FWDLink Page — the same public page at your handle. Local does not create a separate profile; it lists the page you’re already building.
List yourself nearby
In your page / bio builder:
- Open your page settings.
- Turn on listing as a local pro (wording may read like “List me on Local” or similar).
- Set your primary city (and trade / category tags that match what you do).
- Choose how you serve customers — Storefront, Service area, or Hybrid. See Storefront, service area, and hybrid.
- Save. Your page can appear in the Local Pages directory for that city and trade.
Example
You’re a handyman in Cape Coral. You enable Local listing, pick Cape Coral, tag Handyman, and set Service area so your street address stays private. Neighbors browsing Local Pages for handymen nearby can open your FWDLink page.
What people see
When someone opens you from Local Pages they land on your page — bio, contact options, featured work, and any Local Listings strip you’ve published. Private albums in Records stay private.
Browse as a neighbor
- Go to Local → Pages.
- Pick a city (or use the city you’re viewing).
- Filter by trade / category when available.
- Open a page to contact or learn more.
Tips
- Keep your city and trade accurate — that’s how Local matches you.
- Featured albums on the page help more than dumping every private job.
- Marketplace items are separate; see Marketplace listings.
Troubleshooting
I opted in but don’t see myself
Confirm the city and that listing is still enabled. Fresh directories can take a moment to refresh after save.
I only want to sell one item, not be a pro
You can post a marketplace listing from your page without building a full pro presence — see the marketplace guide.
